'Acres and Avenues' Features Funky German Comedian

 |  By: Jim Dickrell

Well that’s different. For its fourth episode of “Acres and Avenues,” Dairy Management, Inc. pairs up German actor/comedian Flula Borg with Florida dairy farmer Lindsey Rucks to add a little quirky humor to promoting dairy and explaining life on a dairy farm.

“Acres and Avenues,” launched last year with two episodes, pairs up young, urban millennials with dairy farmers to give viewers a touch of what life is really like on a farm.

If you’ve never heard of Borg, you’ve never visited YouTube and searched for funky, German comedians. Borg has 750,000 YouTube followers, exactly the type of folks DMI hopes to reach to explain dairy farming to folks who have never visited one.

For her part, Rucks is a fourth-generation dairy farmer who farms with her dad, Sutton, near Okeechobee, Fla. Together, they milk 1,200 cows.

Episode 3, which launched June 1, features California tattoo artist and hair stylist Christine Barnum and Virginia dairy farmers Laura and Scott Flory. It has already garnered 2.4 million video impressions.
