Could The Post-Quota Milk Production Boom in Ireland be Slowing?

New data suggests dairy farmers in Ireland will slow production through the remainder of the year, according to Ireland’s AgriLand. They reported 2016/2017 production is anticipated to be up 1.3%, compared to last year’s increase of 18% after quota removal in the European Union. AgriLand suggests a new milk production model by AHDB dairy forecasting shows the production boom post quota removal could be slowing.
