EU and US Reach Trade Negotiation Pinch Point

The European Union and the U.S. have reached a pinch point in negotiations for the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership agreement. The U.S. insists there not be any tariffs on all goods. Meanwhile, the EU says they won’t sign off on a trade deal that doesn’t include geographical indicators (GIs) and that it intends to tie increased market access for U.S. meats to recognition of the GIs.
