Fonterra May Let Farmers Sell Shares to Reduce Debt
Farmers around the world are struggling due to low milk prices, and New Zealand is no different.
But Fonterra Cooperative has an idea that might help. According to ShareChat.co.nz, Fonterra is considering allowing farmers to lower their debt load by selling their ‘wet shares,” which are shares based on milk production.
