Land O’Lakes CEO Policinski To Retire
Land O’Lakes President and CEO Chris Policinski will retire at the end of June, LOL announced this week. No reason for the earlier-than-expected exit was given by the cooperative.
Peter Janzen, LOL’s general counsel and chief administrative officer, will take over as interim CEO until a new permanent CEO is found. Janzen was slated to retire in July, but will stay on until a new CEO is named.
Policinski has been president and CEO of Land O’Lakes since 2005. He oversaw the co-op’s largest merger in 2016 when Iowa-based United Suppliers was added. The combined annual sales of the co-op is now $14 billion, and LOL now ranks 216th on the Fortune 500 list of largest American companies.
