Markets Remain Mixed
The CME spot product trade was mixed to unchanged on Tuesday. All 5 products traded but both Grade A non Fat Dry milk and Dry whey were unchanged. Grade A non Fat Dry milk saw the most action as it traded 9 times but was left at 98 3/4 cents. Dry whey only saw 4 loads trade hands and finished at 35 ¼ cents. Butter lost 1 ¼ cents to $2.24 ¾ cents. Blocks took back some of Monday’s losses and finished up 1 cent to $1.65 ½ cents. Barrels added 1 ½ cents to yesterday’s gains and finished at $1.59 ¼ cents/lb.
Class 3 markets were mixed trading anywhere from a loss of 3 cents to a gain of 13. April rose 9 cents to 15.95. may was up 13 cents to 15.85 and June rose 12 cents to 15.93. The remainder of the 1st half average is now at 15.91. The second half is now offering an average of 16.40.
Class 4 milk was unchanged in April at 15.92 and lost 3 to 14 cents from May to August.
