Milk Markets Green Across the Board
The CME Spot product market was mainly lower on Tuesday as 4 of the 5 products traded. Butter traded 7 times during the session and fell ¾ of a cent to $2.26 ¼ cents. Blocks did not trade a single load and fell ¼ of a cent to $1.67 ¼. Barrels were the only product unchanged on the day finishing at $1.57 ½. Grade A non fat dry milk was the only product that moved higher and finished up 1 ¼ cent to $1.01 ¼. Lastly Dry whey fell ¼ of a cent to 33 ½ cents/lb.
Class III markets were green across the board trading anywhere from 1 to 5 cents higher. The second quarter average is at $15.95 and the second half average is at $16.60. 2020 Class III markets also moved higher trading anywhere from 5 to 17 cents higher in months January through October.
Class IV markets moved higher as well trading 2 to 8 cents higher in months June to November.
