A wild week in milk markets finished on a fizzle. As we transition into pricing our April contracts next week, we saw a lot of volatility Friday to finish the week with an overall sideways move for the bulk of our Spot products trade. Cheddar blocks slipped a quarter of a cent to $1.47/lb with Bareels up a penny to $1.44 1/4. Grade A Non Fat dry milk was unchanged at $1.16 ¼ with Butter down ¼ of a cent at $2.82 1/4. Dry whey finished int eh green again, up ½ a penny to $0.44/lb.

As we enjoy March Madness in the NCAA basketball tournaments, Class III seems to have almost as much action. After several days of spikes higher, we finished the week giving it back. March fell 4 cents to $16.41, April down 24 cent to $16.01/cwt, and May down 34 cents to $16.42/cwt.

Class IV milk was quieter with March and April unchanged at $19.98 and $20.00 even, May slipped 7 cents lower at $19.93/cwt. All eyes will watch monday's trade as we transition our spot dairy trade into the Arpil milk pricing window.
